Pa Buhari...

This is one article that's being lying in one of our contributor's i-pad, he sent it to me this morning and decides to publish it despite the fact that it was written and intended for APC's Presidential candidate Muhammed Buhari before the March 28 election in Nigeria.

Enjoy the article ''Pa Buhari'' as this young Nigerian speaks volume for majority of his peers.

Pa Buhari Muhammed...

Thank you for having the spirit to serve the nation, I also admire your determination to serve selflessly. Fact is, any other seat lower than the Presidency is just a slap on your personality. Thank you, once again for wanting to serve us again, Sir! I wasn't born when you ascend the highest seat in the land, oral stories pass down to us at barbers' shops in form of gist and gossip has it that you were tough, go getter and tone down the colour of corruption to almost fade in Nigeria back then. AIT's documentary further reveal to young ones like me how you ruled and by extension educate us on some policies you introduce alongside your 2nd in command, Idiagbon (RIP). I do not care in what manner you ruled, that is how best you could work towards making Nigeria work, the World was and still changing. An apology is expected though, there is assurance that you misjudge, misinterpret and committed a lot of 'mis'.

It is no hidden fact that Nigerians needs tough hands, but no dictator. You've done it once and you can still do it again. People say you belong to the past era but I believe you will run a techno-democratic government.

Sir, during your campaigns, you highlighted some, if not all the challenges facing Nigeria but I didn't hear you mention ways to proffer solutions. Thus, personally, voting for you is still a 50/50 thing. Don't get me wrong, I love you and your party, issue is, will there be continuity?

The Jonathan administration is carrying out some massive development projects, like the radical railway project, (will there be continuity?) radical decrease in power supply, though the blame is on "vandals" (will there be continuity?) stealing is not corruption, (will there be continuity?) workers going on strike every now and then from different sectors,  (will there be continuity?) the subsidy and cabal, are we going to keep the winnings on paper, (as continuity?) insurgency, I want to assume this administration will clear the mess before May 29, (will there be another one?) devaluing of Naira when the economy is not an exporting country, though we are exporting now but on small scale level (will there be continuity?), the exploitation from telecommunications companies, (will there be continuity?) the education sector, (will there be continuity?) the aviation sector, well I do hear of a new face to Nigeria's airports. Walahi, Mallam Buhari, me I see nothing rather all I hear is grumbling, (will there be continuity?) there is this new culture in town, still trending though, going to Dubai, India, U.S for treatment, (will there be continuity?).
hmmmmm, I can go on and on with ''will there be continuity'' question.

Writing this article, (it is not an open letter) is out of the so many questions many Nigerians are asking in cabs, on the streets, mass transit buses, in offices, market places, churches, mosques, shrines, on Facebook, twitter, schools, beggars ask this same questions, lower class, middle class and upper class citizens are asking, dead parents are also asking because it is no longer 'children are the leaders of tomorrow', it is now recycling of leaders.

Pa Buhari, will there be practical answers? Not the paper presentation type of ''our economy is the best in the world'', from Finance Minister, used to like her though.

This government in power promised us ''fresh air'' and truthfully, we are experiencing 'fresh air' to the meaning of corruption, 'fresh air' to new dimension of politics and deployment of soldiers in aiding rigging and 'fresh air' of thugs like that murderer in  Ekiti with Stomach Infrastructure agenda, a new 'fresh air' propaganda and for Ogbeni Rauf to ensure the votes counts, he had to act like a thug, do not blame him, they say if you want to catch a monkey... (you complete the saying), that is because the message coming from the altar is negative 'fresh air'.

Pa Buhari, will it just be another miserable and regrettable eight years? or of one year forward and one year pause and then two years backward if it is for a single term? I like your running mate, intellectual man but will his opinions counts? In the next 100 days, if you are the President, what are the short term goals we should be celebrating? At the end of four years, as a vibrant youth with flair for ICT, will I be celebrating with fellow youths the improvements in ICT and related fields? Are we going to see radical approach in implementing long term goals as your days keep scaling through a year? The epileptic patient's case is worsening and Bro Jona is a total failure in that aspect as far as Nigerians are concerned, will you allow me to write same thing about you?

Pa Buhari, see it this way, you are now my Aboki, am yet to see myself voting, it is like choosing one of these; The Devil and Deep Blue Sea, sad end awaits me in any of this options and if I remain neutral, I will be neutralized while standing. As you be my Aboki, help me out, let Nigerians (including me, if I end up voting for you) look back after your tenure and say ''We are glad for voting you in and for those that didn't vote for you(including me if I end up voting for that Otueke man) thank our and your chi for making you the President despite all odds and for those that don't vote at all, your good deeds should make them experience this awakening to be politically active.

Pa Buhari...
March 28 will be the turning point, if you will win or if you loose. Try not to go back home a politically disabled man, your name matters here. When am in a cab or in public places either in the north or in the west (south and east still elude me) its always 8:2 chanting ''Sai Buhari''. Jonathan is doing good but Nigerians wants more and more and more!

At the end of the day, when all chips are down... do something worthwhile for NIGERIA.

Pa Buhari!

Ope Shina
